December 2003 CEL Aerospace Industrial Division will participate in the POWERGEN show in Las Vegas to promote its industrial activities. CEL will be part of the Canadian Government pavilion.
July 2003 Pratt & Withney Canada (UK) signs a two (2) year agreement with CEL for the maintenance of their PW100 and PT6T test cell.
May 2003 CEL Aerospace completes a new state-of-the-art dynamometer test cell installation in Greece for Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI). The new facility is of a modern multi-engine configuration, allowing HAI to test the Pratt & Whitney PW100, PT6A and the PT6T engine series. The present contract was specifically for the PW123AF engine, used on the Bombardier CL-415 and the PT6A-68A used on the Raytheon T6A Texan Air Force Trainer. Besides P&WC, CEL is the only test cell contractor that has built a PT6A-68 dynamometer test cell.
In January 2003, CEL obtained the correlation approval for the PW123AF from P&WC. In February the correlation of the PT6A-68A was approved as well as the PT6T-3B / T6 engines later in May.
January 2003 Brazilian Air Force selected CEL Aerospace for the supply of a turnkey dynamometer test cell for the P&WC PW118/PW118A and the PT6A-68C used on the Embraer Super Tucano trainer. This project also includes a Data Acquisition System upgrade for their existing PT6A propeller test cell and a two (2) year preventive maintenance and calibration service.
